Snowchum

Maya and Mummy made him, I simply made buddies with him - far too cold to do much else.

Grooving with Zaki

Nothing better than a good old bop before bedtime...which is what Zaki and I enjoyed when he came for a recent sleepover!

The snow must go on

Ah snow! Looks so fun, feels so cold! I lasted just long enough during our late December snowfall to model this delightful Guantanamo outfit and kick about in polar conditions with my cuz Zaki and big sis Maya!

My first Christmas play

I was 'a dad' at my Montessori Christmas play. It went fairly well till Johnny (another 'dad') began bawling for his mum and I spotted my folks in the front row..I spent the remaining half of the performance singing and shaking my musical instruments from the comfort of my mother's lap. Still, I looked pretty good in my flat cap (when I wore it).

Biscuit eating with Jack

Gave Jack one me biscuits. Stuck to his teeth. Next time I eat all meself... (NB: they were pretty foul actually, Editor)

Sami-isms

"I like nursy!" On being driven to Asquith one morning.

Sam Railway Man

Jack took us on the Romney Hythe and Dimchurch Railway today and we had such fun! I sat in awe-struck silence for the first half hour before acclimatising and bounding around my seat like a lunatic trainspotter. We saw the lighthouse at Dungeness and fishing boats and the model railway at New Romney that I had to be dragged kicking and screaming from!

Can't a man get any privacy round here?

Photo by Maya, documentary photographer extraordinaire.

PJ Gang

Here's the Worthing PJ Gang - me with Maya, my little cousin Zaki and Auntie Raans. We're just chilling out the morning after Amma's big b'day party.

Studies in Sami

My big sister reckons herself as a bit of a snapper - she took this series of pix of me running wild with one of Mummy's scarves at some ungodly hour of the morning.

Too big for these boots

I want to be just like Daddy when I grow up. I just hope my shoes will be in better nick....

More Sami-isms

"Unt go dare!" - "I want to go there!"

"Can reach" (accompanied by grunting, huffing and puffing) - "I can't reach!"

"It doesn't werkin!" - "This appears not to be working!"

"Teet hurtin now!" - "Goodness me, my teeth are painful at the moment!"

Picnic in the park

Lovely picnic with Jack and Kai (or 'Ah Kai' depending on which name I pick for my paternal g'mother) in Swanley Park. I did actually sit on my bottom for more than 2m to savour some particularly tasty sausages...

The old block...

Tractor Man again!

Dreams do come true - this time at Isobel's in the back of her daddy's ride-on mower!

Clown Day (I barely need to dress up!)

My first Clown Day at Asquith! Maya's a pro, as you can see. My folks didn't intend to let me dress up but I kicked off on discovering that my sister had a costume and I didn't...so they cobbled together a total apology for an outfit (Maya's old pink dungarees and a stripey t-shirt) - perfect!

Sam Tractor Man

JCB and me. Pure heaven.

Jack's toys!

In Farningham I made a beeline (sheepline?) for Jack's amazing toy collection - luckily he was one step ahead and had already got out an array of objects to fascinate and entertain me!

Sami shepherder

Although the 2D version was a safer bet given my sheep scaring tendencies, I did manage some fleece brushing and herding in Farningham with AK today.

Speakers' Corner, Sevenoaks

"And another thing - I want free ice cream and cake for toddlers everywhere (and a new pair of trousers too please, as no one's going to take me seriously with these ankle-flappers)!"

I DO LIKE AMMA DOOOOES!!

Having had quite enough of the cruel jibes about my heritage due to my genetic similarity to my paternal side, I decided to finally show everyone I definitely had inherited something from my maternal gene pool. Et voila - I AM PICKING UP AND OPERATING MAXI EE CAR (aka Maxi The Car) WITH ONLY MY TOES!!!!! I am part-Naqvi! End of (note in the second picture my sister attempting to steal my toes' thunder with her own foot antics...).

Oh deer oh deer

This is me in my full Sami the Bambi Whisperer mode at Knole Park where we went with Monty and Jane. I enjoyed being followed by one doe-eyed speckled beauty until I realised it was covered in flies (which wanted to make a home in my hair) and wouldn't actually leave me alone. Luckily we threw a piece of bread a few yards away and while it was distracted, we made a run for it! No flies one me eh?!

Me and Daddy at Lena's 'office'!

When Daddy says he's off to the office, you can be sure he's not going anywhere like the BBC archives centre in Caversham! This is where my cousins' mummy works and where we saw cows, fish, walked over a bridge and picked blackberries (and ate them till our tongues went black!)
