The old block...

from which I am chipped...

Tractor Man again!

Dreams do come true - this time at Isobel's in the back of her daddy's ride-on mower!

Clown Day (I barely need to dress up!)

My first Clown Day at Asquith! Maya's a pro, as you can see. My folks didn't intend to let me dress up but I kicked off on discovering that my sister had a costume and I didn't...so they cobbled together a total apology for an outfit (Maya's old pink dungarees and a stripey t-shirt) - perfect!

Sam Tractor Man

JCB and me. Pure heaven.

Jack's toys!

In Farningham I made a beeline (sheepline?) for Jack's amazing toy collection - luckily he was one step ahead and had already got out an array of objects to fascinate and entertain me!

Sami shepherder

Although the 2D version was a safer bet given my sheep scaring tendencies, I did manage some fleece brushing and herding in Farningham with AK today.

Speakers' Corner, Sevenoaks

"And another thing - I want free ice cream and cake for toddlers everywhere (and a new pair of trousers too please, as no one's going to take me seriously with these ankle-flappers)!"

I DO LIKE AMMA DOOOOES!!

Having had quite enough of the cruel jibes about my heritage due to my genetic similarity to my paternal side, I decided to finally show everyone I definitely had inherited something from my maternal gene pool. Et voila - I AM PICKING UP AND OPERATING MAXI EE CAR (aka Maxi The Car) WITH ONLY MY TOES!!!!! I am part-Naqvi! End of (note in the second picture my sister attempting to steal my toes' thunder with her own foot antics...).

Oh deer oh deer

This is me in my full Sami the Bambi Whisperer mode at Knole Park where we went with Monty and Jane. I enjoyed being followed by one doe-eyed speckled beauty until I realised it was covered in flies (which wanted to make a home in my hair) and wouldn't actually leave me alone. Luckily we threw a piece of bread a few yards away and while it was distracted, we made a run for it! No flies one me eh?!

Me and Daddy at Lena's 'office'!

When Daddy says he's off to the office, you can be sure he's not going anywhere like the BBC archives centre in Caversham! This is where my cousins' mummy works and where we saw cows, fish, walked over a bridge and picked blackberries (and ate them till our tongues went black!)

Me and Cousin Abbum

Enjoyed a day in Caversham with cousins Abecca and Abbum (that's Rebecca and Adam) with some haring around the back garden, jumping on the trampoline and then blackberry picking at the BBC gardens where their mummy works. Abecca asked me to marry her but Abbum pointed out "don't be mad, he doesn't even fancy you!' to which she replied "yes, but he does when I don't ask him to marry me!" I replied: "Yea! Marry!"

The Gordons Way Book Club

Most evenings after dinner, Maya reads to me. I have a sneaking suspicion that she can't actually read, because most of the stories sound the same (a variation on 'Dig, Dig, Digging') but I do sit quietly while she entertains me.

TV dinner

That sister of mine sure knows how to look after me. Here she is showing off my special relaxation station that she put together herself - ah, all I need now is the remote control, a pair of slippers and a pipe (Baba eat your heart out)!

Computer whizz-kids

Maya's a whizz with the mouse, and I'm the kid who watches (Bob the Builder on CBeebies' website usually).

A walk in the park

Aside from a few ups and downs, life with my Big Sis is one great big walk in the park...as you can see.

World's worst taxi

You'll never guess who I 'ad in the front of me cab the other day? (Please note: odd appearance of feet due to socks being slightly wet from outdoors - Maya: "Ugh, why does Sami have flipper feet?")

Sami-isms

Wotdat?
Aug 09, daytime nap, and Sami has been left to go to sleep in his cot... on hearing squeaking noises (Sami rattling the cot side) I enter. Sami grins, makes clip clop noises, stops, looks shocked and says: "Ooo! Wot dat Mummy?"
On being told I know exactly what the noise is and where it is coming from he laughs!

Tubbles
June 09 onwards, a favourite phrase (spoken only when standing on the wooden chest at the end of our bed, having shoved all the neatly-piled clothes off it) is "Tubbles up hear-ear!" (ie "trouble's up here). Sami is actually known as 'Trouble' at nursery - in an affectionate way (allegedly)

Pooburp
June 09, having partaken of too much broccoli, emits gas, looks startled then says "Ooo! An pooburp!"

KING OF THE CAAAAAASTLE!

Hever Castle adventure playground in July - I spent the entire half hour of our playground time in the toddlers' castle!

"One day all this will be yours..."

Maya and I sharing a deep, philosophical moment on Worthing beach (followed by some stone chucking and seaweed grabbing).

Portrait of the Artist as a Young Sam(i)

A landmark art work - this photo is the first taken of me by my big sister Maya! She needs to work on focussing and framing I think...

Sea walk

July in Worthing and a nice windy day on which to stroll along the sea wall!

Mes amis Henry et Louis

Bonjour! C'est moi, Sami Le Frenchie, jus hangin' out avec mes amis who came to visit for the night all the way from France in July.

Getting back to Mother Nature

Sometimes I like nothing better than getting in tune with my internal Green Man via some grass, bare feet and a few dead leaves from our palm tree. Bliss.

Hever Castle with Raans

Sightseeing is so much fun - even better if you can make life difficult for the grown-ups by haring around like a total maniac for about 2 hours.

Four eyes

If anyone should ever suggest I don't look like my mummy, here is proof to the contrary. A delightful and flattering shot of both of us I think you'll agree?

Couch potato and sister

Here we are jus' chillin' in front of Bob the Builder...

Sami the Explorer

Here I am being intrepid in the Circle of Stones at Groombridge Enchanted Forest on our day trip with Raans! Anyone got a map?
